It’s all Kuro5hin’s fault

February 4th, 2005 by Adina

Apparently lunch is very important, especially when one isn’t feeling at one’s best. Today I was in the JDUC killing time before my last class. I was reading this k5 article and I was getting a little grossed out. The article isn’t really that bad, it’s about this guy’s laser eye surgery, but it’s written in a rather interesting way. I started feeling pretty nauseous. I leaned forward a little bit and thought “What am I going to do? I can’t puke in the middle of the JDUC.” Then everything blacked out.

I guess it was only a few seconds later that I came back to consciousness. I heard music which I thought was in my dream because as I awoke it seemed to change. I felt very safe, like I was in bed at home. I just wanted to go back to sleep. I opened my eyes, and was surprised to see that I wasn’t at home… I was in the JDUC… I had been caught by a very kind person who had been using the computer next to me. I owe this person a lot of thanks since if he hadn’t caught me I might’ve hit my head, or at least have gotten pretty bruised by falling on the floor. My head hurt a lot, and I didn’t feel like I could support myself.

Queen’s First Aid got called, and they checked all the vital signs. Nothing was really abnormal. Since this had never happened before, they suggested I go see a nurse at the clinic, which I did. It seems that I probably was just dehydrated and needed food, especially since I went walking for a couple hours and hadn’t been feeling so great for the past few days. It was bloody scary though.
