I’ve been terribly lax in posting anything, and I apologize to those friends of mine who might have come here expecting to find a blog… I’m finding the work load to be pretty heavy, what with taking 8 courses this term as well as TAing, but I think I’m surviving. I hope to post more this summer. I’d like to take a couple months to go biking, do unschooling things with k5, k6, and possibly other friends, sew stuff, draw, hopefully finish the blasted recumbent, write letters to those friends who live far away, and do other random math and non-math related reading and writing. This is all contingent on finding an internship placement for next year, so who knows what will actually happen.
It sounds like my summer will almost certainly contain a bike trip from Kingston to Whole Village and a plane trip to California. Although I’m not completely comfortable about visiting the excited states, it’s a family member’s 70th birthday, and I’m not going to let a certain government stop me from going. I’m looking forward to seeing her and the rest of the state side family I haven’t met yet.
I just reorganized the gallery today. I added some christmas pictures and made my section more organized. I got some good ones of my surrogate grandpa and grandma who we saw for the first time in around a decade this January. He died a few weeks ago. I wish we’d seen them more, but I’m really glad we saw him before he went.
To attempt to make up for my lack of posts (past and future), here are some pictures:

In mid February we had a relatively cold, extremely windy day. The next day, Trevyn and I went out for a walk. The wind and waves pushed ice up several meters inland:

It made sculptures on the rocks:
