Skills of an artist - π courier bag

December 18th, 2006 by Adina

Ah exam time. Time to catch up on those books and tv episodes you’ve missed while working on endless projects and studying for midterms. For me, exam time is also one of the few times during the year that my creative muse comes out from where it’s been hiding under my textbooks and smacks me over the head. Witness orientation indicating caveman from a couple years back. This year, I managed to finish a project I started this summer.

While sorting out her sewing room odds and ends, Seanna found her backpack from high school. Not having a use for it anymore, she asked me if I’d like it. This is what it looked like when I first got it:

A few months, a couple tins of dye, and some embroidery floss later, and this is what it looks like now:

Back to studying!

    Adina!
It was great to get that note from you on my blog! It *has* been a while since we’ve seen eachother.

Are you doing anything fun for Christmas? My Christmas will be fairly quiet, just immediate family. It’ll be nice, though–the downtime in between student teaching gigs is very much appreciated.

I was browsing through your picture galleries and found one of you with your family. I recognized almost everybody no problem, but I could only tell Wade by process of elimination. Wow, he looks different! Those sunset pictures were really nice, too. :-)

Anyway, tell everybody I say hello and merry Chirstmas!
