					<description>Adina,
Received your blog notice and thought I'd respond to the folding bike one-- I've been hanging around the Bike Friday (bikefriday.com) website of late, which is a custom builder of folding bikes in Eugene, Oregon. I imagine I'll order one in the near future, but if I were a more creative guy, I'd follow your lead and build up something that has good lineage but needs a little TLC. But otherwise, sounds like the way to go in terms of travel plans.

Life is good-- we had a son in January, so Ian's keeping us active and delighted with his presence. Heather's at home for now, but will go back to work in January and I'll anchor the domestic scene, do some odds and ends work, etc.

Best wishes,
Regards,

					<description>Hey David!

Great to hear from you! Congratulations on the arrival of Ian. It's great that you'll be able to spend some good quality time at home together. Good luck on your adventure!

Bike Fridays (or Bikes Friday?) are definitely awesome, superbly designed, beasts. If I had the budget for one, I would definitely have bought one - I'd probably actually have been able to bring it, unlike my poor Twenty which proved too heavy for my baggage restrictions. But the twenty is definitely more fun in a diy sort of way. I've really been enjoying fixing it up. I'm looking forward to playing with it more when I get home.

Take care,
